I am directed by Mr. Secretary Hall to acknowledge receipt of the Commander-in-Chief Hong Kong's report on the occupation of Hong Kong forwarded in the Admiralty's official letter of the 13th November, which has been read with great interest. Providing My. Lords Commissioners see no objection it is proposed that copies of this historical record should be sent to the Governor of Hong Kong, Sir Mark Young, Mr. Gimson, Colonial Secretary and to Brigadier, D.M. MacDougall, Chief Civil Affairs Office for the records of the future Civil Government.
